The most awaited 3rd Edition of Manipur International Textile Expo, MANITEX 2020 has started today at Nilakuthi, Imphal East. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N Biren Singh opened the MANITEX 2020 edition today at Nilakuthi, Imphal East in presence of several dignitaries of the state.
Nilakuthi is a food processing park situated in the Imphal East District of Manipur in an area of about 14 acres of land. The park has facilities like cold storage, warehouse, drainage sewerage, etc., and has created employment in the state.
During this MANITEX Expo indigenously produce and uniquely beautiful handloom products, handicrafts, dyeing and printing, garments, embroidery, and traditional costume of Manipur will be displayed. The CM also distributed 2250 looms under the Loom up-gradation scheme 2019-2020 to the weavers of all districts of Manipur.
Even during this grave situation due to COVID-19, Biren Government never fails to meet the expectations of the people of Manipur, and just like the normal days, MANITEX 2020 edition has been gifted to us. By keeping the sense of party aside, this time also, the BJP-led Biren government has shown us another life example of good governance.
